Atlantis Reef Project

Gary Levine is the visionary behind the concept and creation of an underwater memorial for people that love the oceans. After obtaining the permits, Levine called on sculptor Kim Brandell to get involved in the project. After the design phase, as agreed upon, the manufacturing of the structures for the first deployment began. The next goal was to put the Atlantis Reef on the ocean floor. This occurred before the later alliance with BG Capital, a company that managed and owned the Neptune Society. Even though they promote that they played a part in the idea, permitting, engineering, design, or any part of the concept of the reef, that is simply not factual.

Gary Levine and Kim Brandell are now and will forever be the only creators of what is now the Neptune Reef. Levine is credited with developing the concept and turning an idea into a reality. Brandell is the artist and sculptor that took the ideas and design and turned them into concrete structures. Their efforts have left a lasting impact on ocean conservation and the preservation of marine life. The Neptune Reef has become a popular destination for divers and ocean enthusiasts, and it serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting our planet's precious natural resources.

The Poseidon Memorial Reef is an ecological masterpiece project that provides a living environment for friends and family members who have passed away. Their earthly remains placed within the reef and are “Resting In Peace” surrounded by an ever-changing landscape that is vibrant and amazingly colorful.

The Poseidon Memorial Reef is our second project as a multi-person underwater Memorial Reef and Scattering Garden. We learned after creating the Neptune Memorial Reef that the artistic designs lack of habitat inspired the concept of an ecologically designed reef habitat and a place for “Resting In Peace” in one project. The ocean provides a beautiful place for those take part in ocean watersports as well as those who find peace and joy at the beach watching sunrises or sunsets. If this is you, we hope Poseidon Reef will hold a special meaning for you.

The design of the Poseidon Reef is eco-logically designed to create habitats that promote marine life and biodiversity. The modules and sculptures of the reef provide shelter, feeding areas, and breeding grounds for various species of fish, corals, and other marine organisms. These structures and the advanced design create a visually appealing underwater landscape for scuba divers, snorkelers, and photographers to explore.

In addition to its ecological function, the Poseidon Reef serves as a place for remembrance and honoring loved ones. Families and friends can choose to have the ashes of departed loved ones placed in customized memorial structures within the reef. These structures are designed to be a part of the underwater habitat, creating a lasting tribute to those who shared a love for the ocean.
